Edd McNeill Memorial Tournament Event Schedule and Partnership with High Button Sports
Summerside, PE – The 27th Edd McNeill Memorial Tournament, taking place from November 27 to December 1 at beautiful Credit Union Place, will bring together 24 teams from all four Atlantic provinces, showcasing over 450 participants in the heart of Summerside. This prestigious event highlights hockey excellence while fostering community pride and spirit.
We are also excited to announce a partnership with High Button Sports, our Island Petroleum Energy Centre live stream partner for the Edd Skills Competition and Playoffs, ensuring fans across the region can enjoy the action live!
Thursday – Edd Players Night
7:00 PM:
Kick off the tournament with Maritime Hockey League action as the Amherst Ramblers face the Summerside Western Capitals.

Friday – Edd Skills Competition
6:30 PM:
Players from all 24 teams will compete across various skill phases to claim the coveted Skills Competition Championship Title.

Maritime Hockey League action continues with an Eastlink South matchup between the Yarmouth Mariners and the Summerside Western Capitals.

**The EDD McNeill Memorial Tournament: Honoring Legacy and Community**
Founded in 1998 to honor the late Edd McNeill, the EDD McNeill Memorial Tournament has become a cornerstone U13 AAA hockey event in Atlantic Canada. The inaugural tournament featured the now-legendary hospitality suite, setting the tone for the tournament’s welcoming atmosphere and strong sense of community.
As the event grew, the iconic EDD Cup was introduced in 2008, handcrafted by Thompson's Wood Working and donated by J. Leonard and Gus McNeill. In 2014, the addition of the prestigious EDD Skills Competition brought even more excitement to the weekend.
Renowned for its competitive play and exceptional hospitality, the tournament continues to unite teams and fans, celebrating Edd McNeill’s enduring legacy and love for the game.
